Hyderabad: Youth Congress workers staged a demonstration on Wednesday morning at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium (Uppal), the venue of the ongoing IPL home games for Sunrisers Hyderabad, demanding the resignation of the Hyderabad Cricket Association President A Jagan Mohan Rao.
They were protesting against the alleged sale of IPL tickets on the black market and not giving the genuine fans a fair chance to buy and watch the games. They also burnt the effigy of the HCA President.
This move apparently comes in the wake of the dispute between Sunrisers Hyderabad and the HCA over the distribution of complimentary passes in which the latter was accused of “blackmailing.” However, it may be mentioned here that the row was resolved at a meeting between the two parties on Tuesday.
