Sangareddy: Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy, who had jumped ship from the BRS to the Congress, on Thursday asked what was wrong if he still kept former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao‘s photograph in his office.
When the Congress cadre staged a protest in Patancheru accusing Mahipal Reddy of ignoring Congress cadre and refusing to place Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s photograph in his office, Mahipal Reddy responded saying that Chandrashekhar Rao had ensured a lot of development during his 10 years of rule.
Responding to a question, Reddy said it was up to him whether to place Chief Minister Revanth Reddy‘s picture in his office. He said he had worked in the Congress for 23 years earlier.
Justifying his decision keep Chandrashekhar Rao’s picture in his office, Reddy said former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had visited Patancheru when he was the MPP of Patancheru. He had kept his picture with Manmohan Singh’s picture though he was elected as an MLA from the BRS, he said.
The three-time MLA said he would take up the Congress cadre’s attack on his office to the notice of the Congress high command.
