Satyanarayana Chowdhary enters into heated arguments with officials over selection of beneficiaries at Aswaraopet mandal headquarters

Senior Congress Satyanarayana Chowdhary argues with officials during the gram sabha at Aswaraopet mandal headquarters in Kothagudem district on Friday.
Kothagudem: Now it’s the turn of Congress leaders to question the officials over irregularities in selection of beneficiaries for four schemes being implemented by the State government.
It might be noted that the gram and ward sabhas being held across the State have been witnessing serious protests by the public and opposition parties for selecting ineligible persons for sanctioning ration cards, Indiramma Athmeeya Bharosa, Indiramma houses and others.
In an incident at Aswaraopet mandal headquarters in the district on Friday, it was a Congress leader who questioned the officials regarding irregularities in beneficiaries’ selection. A local senior leader of the party Satyanarayana Chowdhary entered into heated arguments with officials during the gram sabha held on Friday.
He sought to know how the beneficiaries in the villages would be selected based on the list sent by someone from Hyderabad. Expressing serious anger at the officials, he said the Congress party should speak truth and added that he was feeling ashamed to say that he belongs to the Congress.
