HYDERABAD: Unilever, a global FMCG major, that operates as Hindustan Lever in India, will be setting up two manufacturing units in Telangana.

This announcement was made during Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu’s meeting with Unilever CEO Hein Schumacher and Unilever Chief Supply Chain Officer Willem Uijen at Davos, Switzerland.


The Unilever CEO announced that they would set up a palm oil facility and refining unit in the State. To this, the Chief Minister offered the fullest support and offered any suitable location in Kamareddy district. The Unilever team also agreed to set up a new manufacturing unit for producing bottle caps. Many products of Unilever are sold in liquid form in bottles.

The Chief Minister said, “We are here to fully support the major entry and growth of Unilever in our State. We must grow together, but without also losing sight of larger sustainability and fairness goals for people and the planet.”
