Two labourers from Telangana die in road accident in Karnataka

Sangareddy: A trip to the neighbouring Karnataka in search of work proved costly for three families, with two persons dying in a road accident while a third was unconscious after their two-wheeler were hit by a traveller van.

Ismail Gudu Saheb (24), Munnuru Ramesh Hanumanth (44) and Chakali Basvaraj (46), were residents of Ratnapur in Nyalkal mandal, which was just 6 km from the State border. The three used to eke out a livelihood by working as daily wagers and used to travel to Bidar and other parts of Karnataka. Last Sunday, the three were proceeding on a two-wheeler when a tempo traveller hit them at a spot under the Dhannur police station limits. While Ismail died on the spot, Ramesh and Basavaraj were shifted to Gandhi Hospital after providing treatment at the government hospital in Bidar.

Ramesh died in Gandhi hospital later, while Basavaraj is still in an unconscious state. All the three had no property. They used to look after their families by working as daily labourers. The villagers of Ratnapur urged the government to extend support these families.
