Telugu ‘lyricists’ on a song, thanks to this Japanese child

Hyderabad: A Japanese child is testing the creative genius of the Telugu people.

A parody by Nono chan is setting the internet on fire, with budding musicians coming out with their own lyrics in Telugu based on her song, without diluting the rhythm.

Sample this:
Ma intlo chinthakayalu kosindha (plucking tamarinds from my home)
Ma intlo chinthakayalu kosindha…
Mekendhuku, Mekendhuku kavali (Why do you want?)
Dhako kavali dhako (want to hide?)

Nonoka Murakata, lovingly called Nono chan, was born on 31 May 2018. She released her debut solo album when she was just two years old.

The song, composed by her, became a hit when she sang it at the Japan’s 35th Nursery Rhyme Children’s Song contest. It also won her a place in the Guinness Book of Records and she became the youngest girl to debut a song album.

Someone has rightly said, Music has no language… no boundaries and no barriers… it transcends all borders and brings the whole world together. Indeed!
