Adilabad: Several parts of both Adilabad and Kumram Bheem Asifabad districts saw a dip in minimum temperatures on Thursday, forcing people to remain indoors.

Arli (T) village in Bheempur mandal in Adilabad district registered a minimum temperature of 8.7 degrees Celsius, Jainad mandal headquarters and Bela mandal centre in Adilabad district recorded the minimum temperature of 9.2 degrees C each.


Mavala and Adilabad Rural, Neradigonda, Talamadu, Tamsi, Talamadugu, mandals witnessed the minimum temperature below 11 degrees C.

Meanwhile, Sirpur (U) mandal centre of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district had the minimum temperature of 8.8 degrees C. Ginnedhari village in Tiryani mandal experienced the minimum temperature of 9.4 degrees C.

Minimum temperatures of Kerameri, Jainoor, Asifabad, Sirpur (T) and Wankidi mandals were gauged to be between 10 degrees C and 13 degrees C.

Following chilly weather conditions, people from all walks of life, in particular elderly and children had to keep their bodies warm using woollen sweaters and making bonfires. They did not venture outdoors until 8 am. Motorists faced problems on NH 44 due to visibility issues on the fog enveloped roads.
