Telangana: Teachers MLC demands release of pending bills

Hyderabad: MLC Kura Raghotham Reddy on Tuesday demanded the State government release the bills, which have been pending since last two years, related to teachers’ surrender leaves, GPF, TGLI, medical and retirement benefits, along with regular salaries pending bills, before the Dasara festival. He warned that an agitation action plan would be announced if the government fails to address the teachers’ issue.

Participating in the two-day PRTU TS 35th State Council meeting, Raghotham Reddy also demanded the government to pay pending bills in lump sum, release five DAs as a Dasara gift besides bringing in PRC report, implement PRC with 50 per cent fitment and extend health cards with cashless treatment to teachers by January.


During the meeting, teachers – Pingili Sripal Reddy and P Damodar Reddy were unanimously selected as the PRTU TS president and general secretary respectively. Sripal Reddy was elected as the president for the fourth term, while Damodar Reddy for general secretary post was elected for the first time.
