Hyderabad: Nearly 16,000 students did not show up for the Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations on Monday during which a staggering 27 malpractice cases were booked.

As per the information shared by the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education 1,30,925 students registered for the Physics-I & Economics-I, 1,19,634 appeared and 11,291 were absent. During this exam, 14 malpractice cases – six in Jagtial and eight in Mahabubabad – were booked.


Similarly, 48,047 applied for Physics-ll & Economics-II and 43,387 appeared for the examination in which 13 malpractice cases with five in Warangal, three each in Medak and Karimnagar and two in Nagarkurnool.

The exams were conducted smoothly and peacefully, without any untoward incidents, the Board said.
