Jeddah: A Saudi returnee, Namdev Rathod, who was repatriated by the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia with the help of Saudi officials following intervention of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, met with Revanth Reddy at his residence on Saturday.

“I borrowed money to go to the Gulf only to graze camels in deserts. But now I had to return, and need your support to buy and graze buffalos so I can sell milk and start a fresh life in my homeland,” Namdev urged the Chief Minister.

Namdev had made a selfie video, appealing to Revanth Reddy to help him return home in Telangana. Eravath Anil, former NRI and chairmasupport n of TSMDC took up the issue with officials and also sought help from Telugu NRI community organization, SATA in Saudi Arabia to help Namdev.

Noted community worker Siddik Tuvoor along with SATA general secretary Muzzamil Shaikh travelled about 1400 km to trace Namdev, before he was repatriated.
