Hyderabad: Apart from entrusting the maintenance of Amma Adarsha Patashalas to SHG women, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has now directed the women to record teachers’ attendance in such schools.

Speaking after launching the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam programme here on Monday, he said it was easy to transfer a District Collector but very challenging to transfer a teacher. But the Congress government had successfully transferred 36,000 teachers without any allegations and complaints, he claimed.

The Chief Minister, yet again, admitted that there were several financial constraints. “I have been repeatedly saying that the State income did not match the expectations. Our expectations failed, income got reduced and debts increased drastically,” Revanth Reddy said.

Stating that the media was posing questions on his grip over administration, he asked whether removing a couple of Ministers from the Cabinet or sending a couple of officers to jail would mean that he had a grip on the administration.

Ensuring coordination among the available people and deliver good governance reflects a grip over administration. All this needs some time, he said.

He also said MLAs were complaining that despite winning the elections they were unable to ensure development or provide jobs to people.

That was why financial assistance was being extended to youth under Rajiv Yuva Vikasam, he said.
