Over 100 kite flyers, including 50 international participants, will gather at Secunderabad’s Parade Grounds for the festival from January 13-15

Hyderabad: More than 100 kite flyers, including around 50 from abroad, are set to join the sprawling Parade Grounds in Secunderabad for the International Kite and Sweet Festival to be held from January 13 to 15.
The kite festival will have participants not only from different parts of the country but also international kite flyers joining from 16 countries.
Being organised by the Telangana Tourism and Culture department as part of Sankranti festivities, the event’s seventh edition will have the sweet festival with traditional sweets from not just Telangana but from other states too.
The entry would be free on all the days for the event which will be held from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm. Stalls presenting handlooms, handicrafts and other products by traditional artisans will also be set up.
The officials expect participation of more than 15 lakh people during the three-day annual event which is being held by the Tourism department since 2017.
