The State Bank of India has inaugurated four Baby Feeding Centres in Bengaluru as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, collaborating with the Child Help Foundation.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the State Bank of India, Bengaluru Circle, has extended its support to the Child Help Foundation (CHF) to establish four Baby Feeding Centres across Bengaluru city.
These centres have been set up at Banashankari Metro Station (Green Line), Rashtriya Vidyalaya Road–RV Road Metro Station (Green Line), Benniganahalli Metro Station (Purple Line), and the Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health (IGICH).
This initiative aims to provide safe, hygienic, and private spaces for lactating
mothers, particularly working women and daily commuters, to feed their babies
comfortably during travel. These centres are located in high-footfall metro stations and a children’s hospital where such facilities are most needed.
The Baby Feeding Centre, located at Benniganahalli Metro Station, was inaugurated on June 4, 2025, by Joohi Smita Sinha, Chief General Manager, Bengaluru Circle, in the presence of Lakshman Singh, Chief General Manager, BMRCL, and Rajiv Menon from Child Help Foundation.
This CSR initiative reflects SBI’s continued commitment to building inclusive public infrastructure and supporting maternal and child welfare. Child Help Foundation officials appreciated the bank’s contribution to this meaningful cause.
