Hyderabad: BRS leader Dr. RS Praveen Kumar urged the State government to provide relinquishment/unwilling option in recruitment process to Group – IV services to ensure there were no backlog vacancies.
In a letter to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Dr. Kumar said candidates who figured in the 1:3 general ranking list have been preparing for various competitive examinations since several years.
Stating that various job notifications were issued by the TGPSC since 2022, Dr. Kumar said there was a possibility that candidates who figured in the Group – IV general ranking list may also be in 1:1 provisional selection list for jobs higher category than Group – IV services.
Considering the above issues, Dr.Kumar wanted the Chief Minister to direct the TGPSC to change the unwilling/relinquishment option in rule 6 of rule of procedure of TGPSC.
For the convenience of aspirants, he also wanted to direct the TGPSC to facilitate the edit option before the final results were declared. These two measures would aid in avoiding thousands of backlog posts in the Group – IV services, he added.
