KARIMNAGAR: Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday challenged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to write a letter to the Centre stating that the entire cost of supplying fine variety rice through public distribution system would be borne by the State.
While the State was spending only Rs 10, the Union government was paying Rs 37. It was ridiculous to claim that the entire amount was being spent by the State government, he said, also demanding that the Prime Minister’s photographs be displayed at ration shops and the public be told about the Centre’s share in the fine variety rice.
Though the Centre had given its share, the State government had not supplied fine variety rice to all the eligible poor, he alleged, accusing the Congress government here of claiming that the entire cost was being borne by it.
