Hyderabad: As many as 706 officers and staff of Hyderabad Police have been recognised for their significant contribution in solving cases, arresting suspects and disposal of cases during the year 2024.
As part of it, a Mega Reward programme was held for the officers who included Additional DCP, ACP, Inspectors, SI, ASIs, HCs, PCs, HGs and Public Prosecutors.
Speaking on the occasion, Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand said, “The city with over 80 lakh population with various kind of criminals and serving justice to all of them is a near to impossible task but yet our policemen are excelling in it. Whenever, there is any crime committed in the city, we respond immediately without any delay and solve the cases as soon as possible.”
Further, the Commissioner stated that there has been a rapid rise in the population moving around late nights and businesses which are running round the clock. Providing security and serving the city with just 16,000 policemen was a huge challenge, but yet they could pull it off.
