Gattu Sampath expressed shock upon receiving a bill of ₹1.47 lakh for an eight-year period all at once. He attributed the bill to the negligence of NPDCL officials in issuing monthly electricity bills for his power consumption.

Mancherial: A consumer of Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (NPDCL) staged a sit-in in front of a power station at Kommera village Chennur mandal on Saturday protesting against his power bill of Rs 1.47 lakh.
Gattu Sampath said that he was shocked to receive a bill of Rs 1.47 lakh for a period of eight years at once. He said he got the bill due to negligence of officials of the NPDCL in issuing monthly bills for consuming the power. He expressed his inability to pay the bill generated considering his weak financial background. He demanded the officials to charge a nominal bill.
