Mulugu teacher selected as national-level mentor by NCTE

Mulugu: Dr Kandala Ramaiah, a mathematics teacher at ZPHS-Abbapur in the district was selected by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) as a national-level mentor under the National Mentorship Model (NMM). He received this information through an email recently.

Dr Ramaiah, a seasoned educationist with 26 years of teaching experience, brings his vast knowledge in pedagogy of mathematics, life skills education, mental health, and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the Teaching-Learning Process to this significant role. As a national mentor, he will guide school teachers across the country through online mentoring sessions aimed at professional growth and capacity building.


The NCTE extended its invitation to Ramaiah to join the National Mentorship Pool, acknowledging his dedication and leadership in education. A technical orientation for familiarization with the Unified Mentoring Interface (UMI) for mentor-mentee interactions was conducted on 16 January, 2025.

District Educational Officer G Panini, Academic Monitoring Officer K Malla Reddy, and Headmaster G Bhaskar of ZPHS Abbapur extended their congratulations to Ramaiah for bringing national recognition to the district.

This recognition acknowledges his exceptional expertise in teacher professional development and his contributions to enhancing the quality of education in India. He is the recipient of the national best teacher award in 2022.
