In an ongoing visit to the United States, K T Rama Rao(KTR), the IT Minister of Telangana, met with Nikki Haley, former Governor of South Carolina, in Manchester, Nashua. Haley, who served as the US Ambassador to the United Nations in 2017 and 2018 under the Trump administration, is of Indian-origin, born Nimrata Randhawa.
Nikki Haley held the governorship in South Carolina from 2011 to 2017, and she’s recently disclosed her intentions to run as a Republican nominee in the forthcoming presidential elections.
In a tweet, Minister KTR expressed his pleasure meeting Haley. “It was an absolute pleasure interacting with @NikkiHaley, Former UN Ambassador & Governor of South Carolina,” he posted.
During their meeting, the Telangana Minister highlighted the strategic significance of Hyderabad and Telangana in the broader perspective of US-India relations. He also discussed various topics with Haley, including economic matters, the upcoming elections, and other political viewpoints.
