Nagapuri Ashok from Kaghaznagar town was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment for cheating the woman by sexually exploiting her several times after promising to marry her

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A court in Asifabad on Thursday convicted a man and sentenced him to 10 years of imprisonment apart from imposing a fine of Rs.20,000 for cheating a woman under the guise of marriage five years ago.
District Sessions Court judge MV Ramesh sentenced Nagapuri Ashok from Kaghaznagar town for cheating the woman by sexually exploiting her several times after promising to marry her. It examined evidence and cross-questioned eye witnesses produced before it by public prosecutor Jaganmohan Rao.
Based on a complaint received from the woman, a case was booked against Ashok on December 21 in 2019. The then Inspector D Mohan took up investigations and filed a charge-sheet before the court, establishing the role of Ashok. Superintendent of Police DV Srinivas Rao commended Jaganmohan Rao, Kagaznagar DSP Ramanujam, Inspector Mohan, court liaisoning officer Ram Singh and constable Babaji for securing conviction in the case.
