Leading the charge is the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme, with a substantial ₹1,400 crore allocation. This initiative, which promises a lifeline to women aged 21 to 60 through a monthly allowance of ₹1,500, has already transformed the lives of over 2.5 crore women. The State, with an annual outlay of ₹46,000 crore for the scheme, is doubling down on its commitment to women’s empowerment.

Farmers, often seen as the backbone of the State’s economy, are set to reap benefits too. The Mukhyamantri Baliraja Scheme will receive a hefty ₹3,050 crore to ensure free electricity for agricultural pumps of up to 7.5 horsepower, while ₹1,204 crore has been reserved to support struggling sugar cooperative factories with margin money loans.

Massive allocations have also been made for key government departments. The Public Works Department will see ₹7,490 crore to ramp up infrastructure, and ₹4,112 crore has been earmarked for industries, energy, and labour to boost the State’s economic engine. Urban and rural development are not left behind, with ₹2,774 crore and ₹2,007 crore, respectively, ensuring the State’s growth story extends to every corner. The Tribal Development Department has been granted ₹1,830 crore to uplift marginalised communities.

Social welfare schemes have received a strong backing, with ₹2,600 crore for the Other Backward Bahujan Welfare Department, ₹2,135 crore for water resources, ₹2,155 crore for women and child development, and ₹2,147 crore for agriculture. The healthcare sector also stands to benefit from ₹2,049 crore aimed at strengthening medical education and services across Maharashtra.
