Hyderabad: A two-day free training program, organized by Crimson Sports Academy in collaboration with Crickingdom, featured a specialized cricket coaching camp led by legendary cricketer and internationally acclaimed coach Dav Whatmore, known for guiding international teams to success.
The two day coaching session offered young cricketers an opportunity to refine their skills under expert supervision. The training for regular Crickingdom students took place at St. Michael’s School (Suchitra) on Saturday followed by a session for students from other schools. Later in the day, St. Andrews School (Keesara) hosted a session for Crickingdom students.
On Sunday, the camp continued at St. Andrews High School (Suchitra Campus), where Crickingdom students trained from followed by a session for students from other schools. Over 350 students participated in today’s sessions, a press release said.
Dav Whatmore coached young players on batting and bowling techniques, providing technical and practical advice to budding cricketers. He emphasized the importance of proper bowling and batting techniques, helping young players develop their game at a foundational level.
The veteran coach advised them to build a solid foundation with correct technique, focusing on key aspects such as grip, stance, and footwork. He also encouraged them to enjoy the game, play with confidence, and practice consistently to enhance their skills.
This initiative aligns with Crimson Sports Academy’s vision of offering expert-led training beyond conventional school sports programs, the release said.
