Jagtial: Korutla MLA Dr K Sanjay Kumar has decided to take out a padayatra from Korutla to Jagtial district headquarters on Tuesday, demanding the State government to fulfill its promises made to farmers during the time of elections.
The padayatra, which will start from Korutla town around 9 am, will reach Chelgal on the outskirts of Jagtial town around 3 pm. Senior BRS leader and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao will join the padayatra at Chelgal and walk along with Sanjay Kumar and farmers up to Jagtial where a meeting will be held.
Sanjay Kumar said the State government failed to waive crop crops, provide Rythu Bharosa and Rs.500 bonus to paddy farmers. To mount pressure on the government, he decided to take out the padayatra, he said, adding that not only farmers, but all sections of the society, including women, students, unemployed youth, pensioners and others were unhappy with the Congress government.
