Giridhar Eye Institute, a leading tertiary referral eye hospital in Kerala, has launched a new Advanced Surgical and Patient Care Facility in Kochi. The 20,000-sq-ft facility has been set up at an investment of ₹25 crore, said Giridhar A, Medical Director & Chief Mentor.

The expansion plans also include a fully integrated Modular Operation Theatre (OT) Complex, featuring state-of-the-art theatres, ICU beds, day-care units, and in-patient premium rooms.

With a legacy of 27 years of reputed eye care treatment and service, Giridhar Eye Institute is a tertiary referral eye hospital with a team of over 32 speciality and super speciality consultants and over 250 staff members. Presently, the Institute handles more than 550 patients and conducts nearly 40 surgeries everyday including 120 to 125 surgeries every month free-of-charge or subsidised for the poor and needy.

At present, the Institute conducts 3-year and 2-year PG, diploma and post-diploma programs in ophthalmology.
