K Chandrasekhar Rao, the former chief minister of the south Indian state of Telangana, was hospitalised after a fall on Thursday night (Dec 7). 
The news came just after his party faced drubbing in the recently-held local assembly elections.
The 69-year-old popularly known as KCR is undergoing treatment at Yasodha Hospital. Citing sources in KCR’s office, the news agency PTI reported that a fracture is suspected, and doctors at the superspecialty hospital are evaluating the condition of the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) president.
A surgery might be required.

As per an ANI report, BRS leader was at his farmhouse in Erravalli at the time of the injury.
The leader’s daughter, BRS MLC K Kavitha, said that KCR had suffered a “minor injury” and that he would be fine soon.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, she wrote: “BRS supremo KCR Garu sustained a minor injury and is currently under expert care in the hospital. With the support and well-wishes pouring in, Dad will be absolutely fine soon. Grateful for all the love.”

Following the Bharat Rashtra Samiti chief’s hospitalisation, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi prayed for his recovery.
