Siddipet: Former Minister T Harish Rao expressed anger over the delay in grounding the works granted under MNREGS in his constituency.
During a review meeting with officials of MNREGS here on Sunday, the former Minister said the civil works of Anganwadi Centres, CC Roads and community centres under MNREGS were not grounded yet though they were granted long ago.
Rao also asked the officials to release the grants of funds to oil palm farmers without any delay. He asked them to continue the work of cattle sheds, poultry farms, borewells and soak pits under MNREGS.
Rao also pointed out that there was gross negligence in maintaining nurseries and Palle Prakruthi Vanams in villages. He asked the staff to identify the eligible MNREGS cardholders for Athmeeya Bharosa.
