Educationist from Nizamabad gifts silver veena to Basar temple deity

Kyatham Santosh, chairman of Navya Bharathi Global High School, offered the musical instrument to the goddess of learning as a gesture of gratitude for fulfilling his wishes. He stated that the veena was crafted from 4 kilograms of silver at a cost of approximately ₹5 lakh.

Nirmal: A devotee from Nizamabad presented a veena or harp made of silver to the presiding deity of the ancient Sri Gnana Saraswathi Devasthanam of Basar on Sunday.

Kyatham Santosh, the chairman of Navya Bharathi Global High School gifted the musical instrument to the goddess of learning as a token of gratitude for fulfilling his desires. He said that the instrument was made using 4 kilograms of silver, spending around Rs 5 lakh. He was felicitated by the priests for presenting the veena to the deity.


The priests performed certain rituals to the instrument and placed it at the deity. Devotees expressed happiness over the gesture of the educationist.
