Director Jeff Baena found dead at his residence in Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Medical Examiner has ruled the death as a suicide by hanging.

Hyderabad: Acclaimed American filmmaker and screenwriter Jeff Baena, 47, was found dead at his Los Angeles residence on January 3 around 10:30 p.m., according to PEOPLE. The Los Angeles Medical Examiner has ruled the death as a suicide by hanging.

Baena, known for his works such as Life After Beth and Cinema Toast, was born on June 29, 1977, to Jewish parents in Miami.

Jeff started his career as a production assistant for filmmaker Robert Zemeckis, after working with Zemeckis for a while Beana worked as an assistant editor near writer-director David O. Russell, after a while the two collaborated for four project, one among which include I Heart Huckabees.

Jeff Baena married American actress Aubrey Plaza in 2021, after being together for 10 years.

The reasons behind his death are currently unknown.
