CDM Secunderabad’s ‘Discover India Program’ for international participants concludes

Hyderabad: The College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad, concluded a five-day ‘Discover India Program’ designed to provide international participant officers of the Higher Defence Management Course (HDMC-20) with an immersive and enriching experience of India’s diverse cultural, historical, and socio-economic landscape.

The program aimed to foster cross-cultural understanding, enhance defence diplomacy, and strengthen international cooperation by offering deep insights into India’s governance, heritage, and developmental progress, a press release said.


A total of 14 foreign officers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Mongolia, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Nepal, Bhutan, Brazil, and Myanmar, participated in this flagship initiative. The program featured distinguished subject matter experts who delivered insightful lectures on various facets of India’s rich and multifaceted identity.

Among others, Prof Kalidas, Dr Ganesh, Prof PV Rao and Prof Ravinder Nath, delivered talks and the participants were also introduced to India’s ancient and contemporary history, Indian philosophy, spirituality, and yoga, further deepening their understanding of India’s holistic and inclusive development model.
