Hyderabad: Protesting the arrests of 16 farmers in Lagacherla village of Kodangal constituency and former BRS MLA from Vikarabad, Patnam Narender Reddy, Osmania University BRSV unit burnt an effigy of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on the university campus here on Wednesday.
BRSV state secretary Jangaiah alleged that keeping aside 12,000 acres of land already acquired during the past K Chandrashekhar Rao’s government for pharma city, which was ready, Revanth Reddy was looking to grab farmers land in the name of pharma clusters.
Jangaiah accused the Chief Minister of lathi-charging farmers and sending them to jail and added the people of Kodangal constituency revolted against the Chief Minister’s arbitrary policies and greed for money.
Stating that the Chief Minister was torturing the lower classes in the State, Jangaiah said Revanth Reddy was not running people’s administration but a demonic administration.
BRSV leaders Dasharath, Ramesh Goud, Ravikumar Nagaram, Prashanth Kompalli, Naresh Srinivas Nayak, Srikanth Avinash, Pawan Kumar and Sai Pawan among others participated in the protest.
