BRS’s Dilemma: Be Desperate Or Do Nothing – M9

BRS Working President K Taraka Ramarao called the people not to pay the Power Bills from this month and send them to Sonia Gandhi’s Delhi residence until the Revanth Reddy Government implements their Gruha Jyothi promise.
In less than a week of the new Government taking the oath, BRS leaders headed by KTR and Harish Rao have been pushing for the immediate implementation of the promises made by Revanth Reddy.
BRS stepped down without implementing its promises like the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme, Unemployment allowance, etc. Some promises like the Pensions hike, Rythu Bandhu hike, etc took more than six months (after the 2018 elections) to implement. Promises like Crop Loan Waiver, Reduction of Age for Pensions, etc were only implemented months before the elections.
But then, the BRS is in no mood to give any time for the Congress Government.
Usually, the public does not expect immediate wonders from a new Government. They at least wait for a year or two to form an opinion and build the anti-incumbency.
The Opposition has to follow the same or they would look desperate in the eyes of the public which will only help the Ruling Party. But then, BRS is struck between Devil and Deep Sea here.
BRS can not afford to give that breathing space to Congress as the Parliament elections are around the corner. If they are silent before the elections, the result will be one-sided.
If the results in the elections go against the BRS, Congress and the BJP will look to engulf the Car Party.
But doing anything will look like desperation, not doing anything will impact the Parliament elections. This is nothing but getting struck between the Devil and the Deep Sea.
