Hyderabad: BRS spokesperson Manne Krishank on Sunday questioned Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s involvement in a corruption complaint filed by Karnataka MLA Muni Ratna. The complaint, submitted to the Karnataka Lokayukta, accuses Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar of awarding Bengaluru contracts to Telangana contractors linked to Revanth Reddy’s family for a 15 per cent commission.

Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday, Krishank said that Revanth Reddy’s words and actions lack sincerity. “He makes sensational claims against business establishments, only to take a U-turn and favour their interests later,” he remarked.

He cited the case of the KPC project, which Revanth Reddy had previously criticised and which was subject to IT raids after Congress came to power. Now, the same project was allegedly associated with Revanth Reddy’s brother, Anumula Tirupati Reddy, who reportedly secured a mega contract in Bengaluru.

The BRS leader pointed out Revanth Reddy’s earlier attacks on EMAAR properties, where he once demanded its demolition. But the Chief Minister was now facilitating EMAAR’s interests in Hyderabad.

With reports of Gautam Adani deliberating a Rs 5,000 crore acquisition of EMAAR India, Krishank questioned whether Revanth was strategically dodging public attention from questioning him, despite Rahul Gandhi’s vocal opposition to Adani. “Revanth Reddy appears to be more invested in business settlements than in serving the people,” he said.

Krishank also questioned the BJP government’s inaction against Revanth Reddy despite levelling numerous corruption charges against him. He pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused Revanth Reddy of imposing ‘RR Tax,’ BJP leader Eatala Rajender accused a Congress Minister’s wife of taking commissions, and BJP floor leader Yeleti Maheshwar Reddy alleged corruption in AMRUT tenders.

“Now, even a Karnataka MLA is dragging Revanth Reddy and his family into a Karnataka commission scam. Why is Telangana BJP silent? Why aren’t they demanding an inquiry?” he questioned.

He also criticised the selective targeting of opposition leaders, pointing to the recent SLBC tunnel incident where senior BRS leader T Harish Rao was prevented from inspecting rescue operations and even registering cases against him, while BJP leaders were given access to the accident spot.
