Andhra Pradesh has a stock of 14,000 tonnes of Liquid Petroleum Gas which will be adequate for next 15 days, said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
In a review meeting on the availability of LPG in the State with the representatives of the petroleum companies in Amaravati on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said that the state would be receiving more LPG soon to meet the requirements and there is no immediate shortage of LPG in the state.
He also directed the officials to ensure uninterrupted supply of gas to hospitals, hostels, educational institutions and temples while asking them to explore feasibility of providing other alternatives for the needy to meet the energy requirements in view of the continued shortage of LPG. . Steps should also be taken to ensure adequate supply of induction stoves in the market, Naidu added.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to prevent hoarding and black market sale of LPG by adopting technology based modalities including QR Code and OTP based delivery of gas cylinders, according to a release.
