RGUKT issues admission notification for 2025-26 academic year

Nirmal: The Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge and Technologies (RGUKT), also known as the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), issued a notification for admissions intovarious six-year-long integrated B.Tech programmes at its constituent institutes in Basar (intake: 1,500 seats) and Mahabubnagar (180 seats) for the 2025–26 academic year.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Govardhan released the notification on the Basar campus on Wednesday.


Govardhan said students could submit applications online only from 31 May to 21 June. A detailed notification would be uploaded on the university website soon. Students were advised to apply for admission online through TS Online centres, Meeseva, or at www.rgukt.ac.in. They were asked to visit the website or contact the university by email at admissions@rgukt.ac.in for more details.

According to varsity authorities, a total of 1,404 seats were reserved for candidates from the general category, while 96 seats were to be filled by candidates from special categories. A total of 105 seats were earmarked for foreign students. Admissions into the first year of the Integrated B.Tech programme would be carried out based on merit in the Grade Point Average (GPA) and grade obtained in each subject of Class X.

While OC or BC candidates should pay a fee of ₹500, candidates from SC or ST categories are required to pay a fee of ₹450. Admissions into the engineering courses will be carried out on the basis of merit in the total marks and marks obtained in each subject in Class 10 (SSC/Equivalent examination conducted in 2025).

According to a government order, a deprivation score of four marks (4% of maximum marks in the concerned subject) would be added to each subject in the Class 10 marks of those applicants who studied in non-residential government schools, including Zilla Parishad and municipal schools.
