Police to the rescue of Maoist member’s family in Telangana’s Mancherial
Chennur Rural Inspector Damera Sudhakar gives essential commodities to family members of banned Maoist party’s leader Lachanna, at Parupelli village on Tuesday.

Mancherial: Police came to the rescue of a family, whose member was a leader of banned Maoist party, by giving essential commodities to them as part of community policing, at Parupelli village in Kotapalli mandal on Tuesday.

Chennur Rural Inspector Damera Sudhakar said that they had sponsored essential commodities such as rice, lentils, chilli powder and sarees to family members of Athram Lachanna, a divisional committee secretary of the outlawed outfit. He urged Lachanna to join the mainstream by quitting the outfit.


The Inspector promised to extend all support from the government if he surrenders before the police. Kotapalli Sub-Inspector Rajender was also present.
