Hyderabad: Striking a defiant tone, BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Wednesday called on the party cadre to continue their fight against the fraudulent Congress government in the new year. He wanted them to ignore the false cases filed against him and focus on exposing the Congress government’s betrayal of farmers and other sections of the State.
He termed the Formula-E race case against him a politically motivated case, aimed to distract public attention from the Congress government’s failed promises. “There is nothing to fear when there is no wrongdoing. The current case against me is baseless and politically motivated. I will fight it legally, and we will expose the Congress’s frauds,” he declared, stating that all decisions taken as the then Minister were for the growth of Hyderabad and Telangana.
Releasing the party diary along with the party leaders at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday, Rama Rao stated that compared to the sacrifices of agitators during Telangana statehood struggle and challenges faced by farmers in Lagacherla case, the case against him had no significance. “The situation today is minor compared to the hardships faced by our Telangana martyrs. Congress is cheating the farmers, and we must rally people against this injustice,” he declared.

He slammed the Delhi Congress leaders for making false claims of providing Rs.2,500 per month to women in Telangana, to cheat the voters of Delhi once again.
Rama Rao wanted every activist of BRS to fight like party chief K Chandrashekhar Rao, against Congress’s false propaganda and failures. Announcing plans for 2025, he urged the cadre to focus on initiatives like forming new committees, registering memberships, and electing party leaders.
Former Minister and senior MLA T Harish Rao castigated the Revanth Reddy government for neglecting promises made to the people. He pointed out that soon after coming to power, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemanth Soren fulfilled his promise and provided financial support of Rs 2,500 per month to women, but Revanth Reddy made no such attempt even a year after assuming power.
“The Chief Minister makes tall claims of taking up Musi Riverfront development, but releases huge funds to contractors and also sends moneybags to his Delhi bosses. But when people ask for Aasara pensions, monthly allowance to women, and Rythu Bharosa support to farmers, he will not have funds,” he said, adding that the Revanth Reddy government borrowed Rs.1.4 lakh crore within its one year governance against Rs.41,000 crore by the previous BRS government.
Harish Rao and other senior leaders pointed out that Rama Rao stood like a rock and extended support to all BRS leaders and activists who faced harassment from the Congress government. They urged the party cadre to extend similar support to Rama Rao and continue questioning the failures and misdeeds of the Congress government.
Opposition leader in the Legislative Council S Madhusudhana Chari, Deputy Chairman in the Legislative Council Banda Prakash, former Ministers P Sabitha Indra Reddy, Satyavathi Rathod, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Koppula Eeshwar and Mohd Mahmood Ali, among others also participated in the meeting.
