Hyderabad: GMR Airports Limited (GAR) announced a milestone at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in October, with passenger traffic surpassing 2.4 million, marking a 21.7 per cent year-over-year (YoY) increase.
Domestic passenger traffic experienced a robust 22.7 per cent YoY growth, while international traffic rose by 16.3 per cent YoY. The airport recorded its highest-ever single-day passenger volume of approximately 87,000 on October 14.
Another record was set on October 20, with the highest-ever single-day aircraft movements (ATMs), totaling 583. Passenger traffic has consistently exceeded the 2 million mark every month since October 2023.
