Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s culinary scene received a modest nod in Condé Nast Traveller x Zomato Top Restaurant Awards 2024, with just one eatery from the city making it to the list of India’s top 50 dining destinations.
Manam Chocolate Karkhana, an artisanal chocolate café in Hyderabad, was the sole representative, standing out in a selection that heavily favored cities like Mumbai, Goa, and Bengaluru.
Founded in 2023 by Chaitanya Muppala, Manam Chocolate Karkhana has quickly gained a following for its unique approach to craft chocolate. The establishment prides itself on producing confections directly from cacao pods, creating a farm-to-bar experience rare in India’s dessert scene.
The list saw Mumbai leading with an impressive 13 entries, including popular spots like The Table, Masque, and Wasabi by Morimoto, while Goa followed closely with a strong representation of 11 restaurants, including Bomras and Petisco Kitchen & Bar.
Bengaluru also made its mark with seven entries, showcasing establishments like Naru Noodle Bar and Bar Spirit Forward.
