Hyderabad: A two-judge bench of the Telangana High Court comprising Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice J. Sreenivas Rao on Monday reprimanded the State government for not submitting its response in a public interest litigation case pertaining to construction of double bed room houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Scheme.

The bench, admitting the case, stated that if the State failed to submit its counter, it would be presumed that the government was conceding to the allegations. The case was filed by A Jagadeeshwar complaining that authorities had failed to construct and transfer 468 double bedroom flats to the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Scheme.

The bench however granted four weeks for the State government to submit its counter.
