Hyderabad: BRS leader and former MP B Vinod Kumar raised serious concerns over the establishment of Young India Integrated Schools, stating that there was a conspiracy to undermine the Gurukul schools established by the previous K Chandrashekhar Rao government. He questioned lack of clarity in the government orders issued against the claims of the Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues.

Speaking to the mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan on Monday, Vinod Kumar criticised the government’s unclear stance on the future of the 1,023 Gurukul residential welfare schools that were set up to support SC, ST, and BC students, providing quality education. Pointing out discrepancies between government announcements and actions, he questioned whether the Gurukuls would be reduced or merged into the new schools.

The former MP demanded a clear explanation from Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on whether these institutions were being renamed, replaced entirely or added to existing residential schools. He reminded that under Chandrashekhar Rao’s leadership, many students from these Gurukuls had secured seats in prestigious institutions like IIT and AIIMS. He said the Congress government was trying to erase Chandrashekhar Rao’s legacy through confusion.
