Three women held for stealing silver ornaments in Mancherial

Mancherial: Three women were arrested for allegedly stealing silver ornaments from a jewelry outlet by diverting attention of salesmen here on Saturday. Silver ornaments weighing 500 grams were seized from their possession.

Mancherial town Inspector R Bansilal said that Masu Annapurna, Gudipaka Radha and Shanigaram Pulamma, all hailing from Issipet village in Mugullapalle mandal of Prof Jayashankar Bhupalpally district were apprehended for lifting the silver ornaments from Sri Vaishnavi Jewelers of the town on September 30.


During the course of interrogations, the women confessed to committing the crime, while returning to Issipet after attending a trial of a court in Bellampalli which was hearing a similar case booked against them.

They admitted to lifting gold and silver ornaments in an outlet in Bellampalli and other parts of Telangana in the past. They said that they would act as customers and steal ornaments.
