The India Today-Axis My India exit poll and Jan Ki Baat exit poll has predicted a neck-and-neck fight between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
The voting in these states states were held between November 7 and November 30. The results for the five assembly elections will be declared on Sunday, December 3.

A survey agency tries to gauge the likely result of an election through an exit poll. Voters are asked, after they exit the polling station who they voted for, hence this is called an ‘exit poll’. Exit poll is a survey that is conducted immediately after people have voted their respective candidates. The exit polls are likely to give indications of the assembly outcomes, a crucial indicator of India’s mood for the upcoming general assembly elections in 2024.

There have been several instances in the past of exit polls going wrong. This is because people could name a candidate other than the one they actually voted for.

After several exit polls indicated Congress victory in Telangana, state Congress president, Revanth Reddy siad that the election was not Congress vs BRS. He also said that the exit polls indicate the victory of the people of Telangana.
Union Minister Prahlad Patel on Thursday abstained from giving any clear remark on the exit polls and suggested to wait for Decemberr 3 for final election result.
Madhya Pradesh CM Shivra Singh Chouhan, on Thursday, said that the BJP has received immense support at a lot of places, hence the results of the state assembly elections will be unexpected and unprecedented.
“I said this at a lot of places that the kind of support we are getting from women of our state, the results will be unexpected and unprecedented,” Chouhan told ANI.
Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Thursday said that exit poll results are very diverse, however, Congress will get more than 130 seats in Madhya Pradesh.
“Exit poll results are very diverse. We cannot say anything about it. I can assure you that the Congress will get more than 130 seats in Madhya Pradesh…People want transformation…People are fed up with CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan,” he said.
Dismissing the exit poll predictions, former state CM and BJP leader Raman Singh said that his party will win the elections in Chhattisgarh.
“Most exit polls are projecting the BJP to be a big leap from where it finished in 2018. From 15 seats in 2018, our tally is predicted to increase to 48 seats. I believe that the projections will not only hold but we will, in fact, get about 55-56 seats and form the government with a clear majority. Those running scared are talking about ‘Operation Lotus’ (in Chhattisgarh),” Singh told ANI.
Chhattisgarh assembly election results are likely to witness a close contest between the two parties with Congress emerging as the winner, according to ABP-CVoter exit poll result. According to Today’s Chanakya exit poll result, Congress is likely to win 101-112 seats, BJP will winn 89-101 seats.
India Today-Axis My India poll revealed that the BJP could lead In the Bhopal region with over 50 per cent vote share.
Exit polls 2023 for Madhya Pradesh did not give a clear picture about the winner in the state. Most of the pollsters predicted a close fight between the Congress and the ruling BJP in the assembly election held on November 17.
Times Now-ETG predicted 109-125 seats for the Congress and 105-117 seats for the BJP. A party needs 115 seats to win the MP polls.
The Congress appears to be leading in Telangana. Exit polls indicate a clear lead over Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), the party of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR).

The Axis My India has predicted a hung assembly in Rajasthan which is different from the other poll predictions done till now. It says Congress will emerge as the single largest party with 96 seats and BJP will get 90 seats and other parties will get 13 seats which may become crucial going forward.

The India Today Axis My India poll has predicted 40-50 seats for the Congress in Chhattisgarh, while the BJP is likely to win 36-46 seats. It seems to be a neck-neck fight in Chhattisgarh.
Since 1998 — that is, in 25 years — no political party has retained power in Rajasthan. Also, since then, the state has seen only two chief ministers — Ashok Gehlot from the Congress and Vasundhara Raje from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). These two held the post alternatively.

Assembly Elections 2023 Exit Poll Live: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Uma Bharti on Thursday said that she doesn’t rely on exit polls.
Exit polls for five states will be telecast later in the evening once voting ends in Telangana. Assembly polls were held in these five states on November 7 (Mizoram and first phase Chhattisgarh), 17 (Madhya Pradesh), 25 (Rajasthan) and 30 (Telangana). “I wish my party forms the government in Madhya Pradesh. I respect MP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan a lot,” Bharti told reporters.
Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, on Thursday, expressed confidence on his party and said that Congress government in Rajasthan is the only government in the country, which has no anti-incumbency factor against it.
“People are saying that the chief minister has not left any stone unturned in doing development works,” he said.

Assembly Elections 2023 Exit Poll Live: Ahead of the exit polls, followed by polling result announcement, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) will get “unprecedented success” in the five state assembly elections the results of which will be known on December 3.
“In the five elections, the BJP will perform well. We have contested elections to form government in all the states. The party will get unprecedented success,” Pradhan said told reporters on Wednesday.
Ahead of the exit poll results, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday expressed his confidence on the party and said that BJP is not going to win any of the five poll-going states.
“No matter what exit polls say, Congress will form the government in Rajasthan. BJP is not winning in any of the 5 states,” Gehlot told reporters hours before exit poll announcement.
The five poll-going states are Mizoram, Telangana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Assembly Elections 2023 Exit Poll Results LIVE News Update: The Election Commission had announced that there will be no exit poll results for the five poll-bound states till November 30.
The EC declared a ban on the conduct, publication and publicity of exit polls from 7:00 am on November 7 till 6:30 pm on November 30, said the polling body.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu on Wednesday expressed his confidence on the people of Telangana and said that they will reciprocate what Congress did for them in past.
He said that voters were mindful of how the previous Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government met their statehood demand, which had been pending for 50 years.
“The Congress is in a direct fight with the BRS and the BJP here in Telangana. In meeting the statehood demand of the people of Telangana, which had been pending for 50 years, the Congress lost a state (Andhra Pradesh) where it was in power at the time. However, we set aside our political interests to respect the regional sentiments of the people and ensured the founding of a separate Telangana state. I am sure the people of Telangana will reciprocate what the Congress did for them earlier,” he told ANI.
Since 1993, no government in Rajasthan has been re-elected for a second term, and the state has alternated between the BJP and the Congress.
Telangana Congress president Revanth Reddy said the ground situation in Telangana changed a lot after Bharat Jodo Yatra and the Congress would repeat Karnataka results in Telangana.
Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot says, “No matter what exit polls say, Congress will form the government in Rajasthan. BJP is not winning in any of the 5 states. People will repeat our government in Rajasthan and there are 3 reasons for this. The first reason is that there is no anti-incumbency wave against the government, even experts are saying so. The second one is CM. BJP voters will also say that the CM left no stone unturned in carrying out development work. Third is the language spoken by the Prime Minister, Home Minister, BJP Chief Ministers and Union Ministers during the campaign. Nobody liked that language…”
In 2018, the Congress won the election but the Congress government was brought down, and in 2020 the BJP formed the government.
Madhya Pradesh recorded a notable 77.15 per cent voter turnout in the assembly polls.
The assembly elections in five states — Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Telangana — were held between November 7 and November 30.
